Mission Impact
- Bridge to 100 is live on the website with QR codes for donations.
- Livin’ Room contract signed; liability insurance now issued. Day Program opening target: October.
Financial Overview
- Outsourcing accounting and payroll to Insight Strategic Solutions beginning September 1, 2025.
- Will receive $50,389 in rent and ABLE account overages in August 2025.
- Since mid-July, $0 of Eighth Street funds spent on food; approximately $4,500 in food donations received.
- Auditors set to review audit at September meeting.
Operations & HR
- One female resident accepted on full-time basis this month.
- Erica Cosby hired as new Wellness Coordinator.
- Danielle Stegall hired as new Resource Manager/Cook.
- Trash Pandas: 12 games represented, 3 more in September.
- Christmas in July was a success with volunteers from Redstone Federal and Monte Sano Methodist.
Outreach
- Huntsville City Council Chair John Meredith visited Eighth Street for a video interview on the organization’s importance and needs.
- Susan and resident Tony attended the Regional Autism Network Constituency Board meeting at UAH.
Fundraising
- Whiskey & Wine set for September 19th. 12 tables confirmed, potential 13th. 3 remaining to sell out.
Volunteers & Interns
- UAH intern interview scheduled August 28th.
- Volunteer Newsletter created and distributed.
- A&M University Serve Day August 29–30. Oakwood University “Agape” Serve Day September 25. JPII Service Day September 26.
- Volunteer Appreciation Event — November 6, 2025 @ Stovehouse.
