Mission Impact
- January’s planning meeting will discuss the possibility of a capital campaign to expand the capabilities and services of Eighth Street Community.
Financial Overview
- Financials for December, final quarter, and year-end 2024 being reconciled by new accountants. Year-end contribution letters in process.
- Operations bank account was compromised — a check was stolen and altered for over $12,000. RFCU will reimburse. New account opened.
- Mercer and Associates acquired by Aldridge, Borden, and Company, PC. Board to discuss audit alternatives.
- Received financial applications from all but one resident.
Operations & HR
- Mary Friedlein hired as Accountant (30 hrs/week) effective January 2, 2025.
- Jane Slocum hired as Accountant (10 hrs/week) effective January 2, 2025.
- One male and one female approved for new residency.
- Contractor Billy Smith to begin pantry project at 305 (Radiance Technologies grant).
Fundraising
- Love Grows Here scheduled for Friday, May 9th @ the Venue at Oak Place.
- Received approximately $95,000 in individual grant awards for 2024.
Marketing & Events
- Valentine’s on Eighth scheduled for Sunday, February 9th.
- Residents to attend Tim Tebow Foundation’s Night to Shine prom on February 7th.
- The Navy has requested a meeting to become part of the volunteer team.
